The Eagle Has Landed.

Why hello everyone. Glad to say that I made to Germany all in one peice.

The trip was, uhh, long, to say the least. So unbeleivably boring too. I would never recommend taking a flight as long as that, unless you are in a coma or something.

Germany is so different than America. I love how they drive, just like me, to say the least. Everything is flat here too. It makes it kind of hard to tell me way around because there is not very many landmarks and all the houses are made out of bricks.

But as far as everything else goes all is good. The downtown part of Havixbeck is really cool. It is closed off to cars, not like that is a problem though, the family's here have one car each, more bikes than people and live in walking distance of everything and a lot of public buses that can take you wherever is too long for walking.

I went to school with Anna on friday. Wow. Schools here are soooooooo different. I really like them though. As cruel as seperating kids out like fast learners and slow learners may sound somewhat cruel, it is no doubt effective in allowing the faster learners to learn to their full potential. I wish they would do that in America.

In a little bit, Anna and I and some of here friends are going to Müenster. Müenster is about a 25 minute bus ride from Havixbeck and is quite a large city. I am excited.

Went to the Griefenburgs for Hannah and Lea's Birthday party last night. It was sooooo good to see Hannah again. That and have another person who speaks english.

For now....

Good to hear from you paige poo. Sounds like paiges big adventure is going good. How's the beer? Don't worry I wont tell your mom. Remember our talk, what happens in Germany stays in Germany.

Taking good care of your car. I washed it and cleaned it out. I found a few things you might want to explain. (lucy you got some splannin to do). I didn't think that little honda could go that fast. Whew, them succers could hardly keep up.

Playing any soccer? I thought I might represent you during the Tuesday and Thursday night pickup games. I tried on your jersey and shorts, there a little tight but I think I can make them work. Don't worry I won't embarass you, because I got skills.

Well gotta go, I am sure hearing from me is making you all sappy and emotional, so we'll keep it short this time.

Love you a bunch, Dad

Let's see some pictures, please.
Of Anna's house and family, of Amsterdam, everywhere you go and everything you see . . .

What have you eaten so far that you normally wouldn't? Have you tried those rolls with pumpkin seeds on the outside? Would you bring some back for me? ;-)

Hope you're having a great time! Don't forget to write . . .

Glad you made it safely, Paigey! Anything you're missing from home? I'd send you a little bottle of Pendleton Whiskey, but I think the postal service (and your mom) might frown on it. :) Hope you're having a good time - take lots of pictures!

Love Kim
